We offer award winning cyber security courses from Qualifi so whether you are new to cyber security or you are an experienced security professional looking to enhance your skills, these certified training courses can help you and your organisation.
First aid training and FREC courses, delivered by experienced professionals. Regular courses are held at our training centre, based in Plymouth, Devon. We can also run them for clients on a nationwide and international scale offsite or at your premises.
Our medical courses are accredited by Qualsafe, one of the largest Ofqual recognised awarding organisations in the UK.
International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code courses either at our training centre in the UK, at your premises or off-site. We have e-learning courses for Proficiency in Designated Security Duties and Proficiency in Security Awareness which can be taken solely online without the need to visit an assessment centre.
Securewest provide consultancy related to the ISPS Code including our ISPS ship, Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) or port security assessment and plan services. Our aim is to ensure that the highest standards of security management is in place for our clients, their personnel and facilities worldwide.
Our Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely and Working Safely courses cover the essentials of health and safety in the workplace. They are aimed at employees and managers in all types of organisations and look at people’s responsibilities for health and safety, and workplace hazards and risks, and how to control them.
Securewest provide education and assessor qualifications for those who work, or want to work as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector, including those who are not in a teaching role.
Experienced, professional trainers run a range of travel risk training courses to enhance your traveller safety and meet your duty-of-care obligations. They are aimed at groups of travellers, high-risk individuals or persons responsible for booking travel.
We include modules for diverse traveller groups, and where required, content can be amended in line with your branding, policies and processes. We aim to increase risk awareness and reduce the impact of incidents on the traveller and organisation.
ELCAS (Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme) funding is available to serving and ex-members of the British Armed Forces. As an Approved Training Centre, you can use your ELCAS funding for a selection of our courses to progress your career and further develop your skills.

The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded five maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 31 August – 6 September 2020.
31-AUG-20 – Suspicious Approach – An underway tanker was approached by two skiffs approximately 25nm SE of Perim Island. The skiffs aborted their approach upon seeing the vessel’s security team onboard
02-SEP-20 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 409 migrants crossed the English Channel to reach UK shores in small boats
03-SEP-20 – General Security Warning – MDAT GOG have released a security warning: Information indicates an armed group from Rivers State, are planning a piracy attack against vessels in area D
03-SEP-20 – Boarding – An anchored yacht was boarded while the owners slept on board near Young Islands in St Vincent and the Grenadines
04-SEP-20 – General Security Warning – It has been reported to UKMTO that Iranian military forces will be conducting a military exercise with a possible live missile, gun or rocket firing and GPS jamming between 0130 UTC 04 SEP 20 and 1830 UTC 10 SEP 20 in the Gulf of Oman REA
Migrant and Refugee Incident: This could involve Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, or information about a boat capsizing and people drowning, or an attack on the group.
Boarding: Unauthorized boarding of a vessel by persons not part of its complement without successfully taking control of the vessel.
Suspicious Approach: All other unexplained activity in close proximity by an unknown vessel.
General Security Warning: Incidents which do not fit in the other categories, but enhance the situational awareness, e.g. flag state advisories or an attack on a non- commercial vessel such as a warship.
